A large-scale emergency response was initiated at Arlanda Airport on the evening of June 28, 2024. A cargo plane, which had taken off from Arlanda and experienced an engine failure, needed to make an emergency landing.

The alarm was raised at 9:36 PM, prompting the deployment of rescue services, helicopters, and ambulances.

Thankfully, the plane managed to land safely by 10 PM.

No injuries were reported, and Swedavia mentioned the issue was a technical fault indication.
