In a recent incident at the Swedish Security Service's headquarters in Solna, sensors detected the presence of the deadly chemical warfare agent phosgene, according to documents accessed by Svenska Dagbladet.
Despite initial denials from the Security Service claiming there was no gas present, further reports confirmed that phosgene levels were measured at 0.6 ppm.
The emergency services later concluded that the danger had passed as measurements showed declining phosgene levels.
Eight individuals were hospitalized following the alarm but were able to return home over the weekend.
An investigation into causing bodily harm is currently underway.
