A hazardous gas scare unfolded at the Swedish Security Service's (Säpo) headquarters in Solna, Stockholm, after the lethal war gas phosgene was detected following a suspected gas leak last Friday.
The incident led to the evacuation of the premises and the hospitalization of eight individuals, including several police officers, with respiratory issues.
The gas, which has been used as a chemical weapon and can also form during welding, prompted a significant emergency response, including area cordons and public advisories to stay indoors.
The situation was brought under control after monitoring showed decreasing levels of the gas, eventually reaching zero.
A police investigation into the cause of the incident and possible bodily harm is ongoing.
