A new pedestrian and cycle bridge has been installed in central Malmö, linking the old industrial area of Varvsstaden with the city center.
The bright red steel bridge, which weighs 110 tons and measures 40 meters in length and 9 meters in width, was lifted into place by two large cranes on Wednesday.
Many spectators gathered along the quays to witness the precision operation.
The bridge, built in Poland, is set to open to the public in week 22. Project managers are confident that the bridge is securely placed.
