After years of anticipation, the new Tullgarns Bridge in Uppsala was officially opened to the public amidst a backdrop of grey skies and pouring rain.
The bridge spans 40 meters in length and 18 meters in width, featuring bike lanes and car lanes, aiming to better connect the southern parts of Uppsala.
The completion marks the end of a journey that began with the city's decision to build the bridge in 2010, offering new pathways across the Fyris River for Uppsala's residents.
The inauguration ceremony was described by host Anna-Karin "ako" Nytell Oldeberg as taking place under relentless rain, highlighting the community's commitment to improving infrastructure despite the day's dreary weather.
