A massive water leak in central Jönköping flooded streets with nearly three million liters of water on Monday.
The rupture occurred in a main pipeline under Södra Strandgatan, creating a two-meter-long hole.
Experts believe ground movements caused the damage, though the pipeline was not considered old.
The leak, which released water at a staggering rate of 3,000 liters per second, caused significant road damage.
Repairs are underway, but Södra Strandgatan will remain closed for at least a week.
Authorities are investigating the incident to prevent future occurrences.
