A man in his 50s was critically injured when a roof truss collapsed at a construction site near Strömstad on Monday morning.

The injured man was airlifted to Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg.

According to Lisa Räng, a press officer at Sahlgrenska Hospital, the man's condition is life-threatening.

Emergency services received the alert at around 10 AM.

The man suffered a punctured lung and head injuries.
