A young man in his twenties has escaped from the Sis-home Ljungbacken in Uddevalla during a walk with staff, threatening them with a self-sharpened plastic knife.
The incident occurred around 4 pm on Saturday, and the police are still searching for the escapee.
In connection with the escape, another individual, found waiting in a car nearby, has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to aid the escape.
The escapee is currently suspected of unlawful threats.
Sis-home Ljungbacken serves boys aged 16 to 20 with psychosocial issues, criminal behavior, and substance abuse, and has reported the highest number of escapes in Sweden over the past five years.
