Liberalerna, one of Sweden's political parties, has announced Jakob Olofsgård as its new party secretary.

Olofsgård, a member of parliament for Jönköping, steps into the role succeeding Gulan Avci, who moves on to become the national coordinator against social exclusion.

Party leader Johan Pehrson highlighted Olofsgård's dedication to issues concerning children's rights and equal opportunities, emphasizing the significant role of education.

With a background in the civil committee, as well as experience in the non-profit sector and as a pastor, Olofsgård brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to his new position.
