In a significant political shift, three prominent members of Sweden's Liberal Party have stepped down from their roles.
Paulina Brandberg, the Minister for Gender Equality and Labor, announced her resignation, citing the toll on her family life and the demands of the upcoming election year.
Shortly after, party secretary Jakob Olofsgård and chief of staff Oscar Wåglund Söderström also revealed their departures.
Brandberg expressed gratitude to her colleagues and family, emphasizing her decision to prioritize personal commitments.
Nina Larsson, a former member of parliament and military officer, has been appointed as the new Minister for Gender Equality and Labor.
At a press conference, Larsson highlighted her dedication to equality, calling it a core Swedish value.
Party leader Johan Pehrson attributed the resignations to the pressures of the approaching election season, framing them as natural moments of reflection for party members.
