The Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) will inspect the Stockholm County Administrative Board amid allegations of a poor work environment linked to Governor Anna Kinberg Batra.
The trade union had raised concerns in spring about the toxic work atmosphere under Batra's leadership.
Despite promises for an investigation, no action was taken, leading to a formal complaint to the authority.
Inspectors are set to visit next Wednesday to meet with various officials, including the acting county director and union representatives.
