A significant fire has engulfed a building within an industrial area in Värmbol, Katrineholm, prompting authorities to issue an emergency warning to the public, which was later lifted as the danger subsided due to diminishing winds around 9:30 PM.

The building, containing batteries among other items, is expected to be completely destroyed, according to the fire department.

No injuries have been reported, and the site will be cordoned off after the firefighting efforts conclude.

Police are investigating the incident as "general endangerment" due to the absence of an apparent natural cause for the fire.

Witnesses are urged to come forward with any observations made before or during the early stages of the fire.
