Massive Fire Erupts in Trollhättan

Published: 2024-09-08

A massive fire has erupted in an industrial area on Stallbackavägen in Trollhättan, Sweden, prompting authorities to issue a VMA (important public announcement).

The blaze, which started in a waste sorting facility, involves burning lithium batteries, causing loud explosions that have alarmed local residents.

Emergency services, including eleven units from the fire department, police, and ambulances, are on the scene, working tirelessly to control the fire.

Patrik Karlsson, the duty officer at the rescue service, has confirmed that the fire is not yet under control, posing a risk of spreading.

Residents in the vicinity are advised to stay indoors and keep windows and ventilation closed to avoid inhaling potentially harmful smoke.

Police have cordoned off the area, and all access roads are blocked as the firefighting efforts continue.
