A tragic accident occurred near Gävle, Sweden, when a hunter in his 70s was fatally injured by a falling tree during a break with his hunting party.

The incident happened around 11:30 AM on a Saturday, just outside Hedesunda.

According to reports, strong winds caused the top of a tree to snap and fall on the man.

Despite initial assessments of moderate injuries, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The other hunters managed to remove the tree before emergency services arrived, but unfortunately, the man could not be saved.

His family has been informed of the tragic event.
