On Saturday evening, Eskilstuna police were alerted to sounds of gunfire in the Årby district.

The incident is preliminarily classified as attempted murder and serious firearms offenses.

According to police spokesperson Linus Maxe, potential bullet holes were discovered in windows or facades.

The area has been cordoned off for evidence collection and witness interviews.

This is not the first instance of gunfire in Årby, with several shootings reported in recent years, including an incident last September that resulted in a man in his 30s being shot.
