Two men were severely injured in a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday evening in the Grimmered district of southwest Gothenburg.

The victims, whose identities remain unconfirmed, were rushed to the hospital and are being treated for serious injuries.

Police were alerted to the incident around 11:07 PM following reports of loud bangs, which witnesses associated with gunfire.

A significant police operation ensued, involving door-to-door inquiries, witness interrogations, and a thorough examination of the crime scene.

Although several individuals have been brought in for questioning, no arrests have been made.

The authorities are currently investigating the case as an attempted murder.

The area was cordoned off for a technical investigation, but the restrictions were lifted after the police completed their on-site examination around 4 AM on Sunday.
