From Thursday, a fire ban is in effect in Kronoberg County due to high wildfire risk, as indicated by SMHI's forecast.

The ban prohibits open fires and grilling outside urban areas, except at designated fixed grilling spots.

It remains permissible to use gas or liquid fuel for cooking in these areas if done safely.

In urban areas, grilling in gardens and courtyards is still allowed.

The ban starts at noon today and lasts indefinitely.
