A fire broke out at a care home in Östersund on Tuesday morning, with the alarm being raised shortly after 9 AM.
The blaze started in a kitchen and filled the stairwell with smoke.
The evacuation of residents began quickly, with four individuals being checked by ambulance personnel.
The fire was extinguished by 10:30 AM, and firefighters continue to ensure that no embers remain.
There are no immediate reports on the number of residents or further injuries.
