A powerful explosion shook a multi-family building in central Stockholm's Kungsholmen district early Friday morning.

The blast occurred on the sixth floor of the six-story building on Norr Mälarstrand, causing significant damage to a stairwell and a glass elevator shaft.

Despite the severity of the explosion, no injuries have been reported, and no suspects have been apprehended.

Emergency services, including four ambulances and numerous fire and police vehicles, responded swiftly to the scene.

The police have launched an investigation into potential public endangerment and violations of explosive materials laws.

Bomb technicians are currently examining the site to determine the cause of the explosion, while police continue to interview residents.

Traffic restrictions in the area have been lifted as the investigation proceeds.
