An explosion occurred at a multi-family residence in Tyresö, a suburb of Stockholm, in the early hours of the morning, causing the facade and walkways to catch fire.

However, the fire was quickly extinguished by the fire service, and residents did not need to evacuate.

The incident is being treated as arson.

The area has been cordoned off pending an investigation by forensic technicians.

No injuries were reported, and the explosion was reportedly caused by an ignited object containing a flammable liquid around 3 am.
