An explosion late Thursday evening caused significant damage to an apartment building's entrance in the Valsta area of M\u00e4rsta, north of Stockholm.

The blast, which occurred just before midnight, resulted in substantial damage to the building's door and facade.

However, there have been no reported injuries.

The Swedish National Bomb Squad was called to the scene, and following a thorough investigation, the area was cleared early Friday morning.

The incident is being investigated as a case of public endangerment.

Police have launched a large-scale operation to find the suspects, but no arrests have been made.

Authorities are also exploring potential connections to a shooting incident in M\u00e4rsta that took place the previous Wednesday, currently under investigation as an attempted murder.
