A surge in fraud targeting elderly individuals has alarmed authorities in Sweden.
Known as "physical vishing," scammers first call victims to gain personal information, then visit their homes to steal valuables.
Over ten cases per day have been reported, with Stockholm and West Sweden being the hardest hit.
The majority of victims are in their 80s and 90s.
Svenska kyrkan has issued a warning after impostors posed as church representatives to gain access to homes.
Both the church and police urge caution: never let strangers in, verify identities, and report suspicious activity.
Experts stress the importance of discussing these risks with older relatives to prevent further incidents.
