On Wednesday afternoon, police were called to Dockan in Malmö after a group of people discovered a suitcase floating in the water containing a dead dog.

The dog had a cut in its neck, suggesting its identification chip was removed before it was dumped.

The dog will be taken to an animal hospital to check for any ear identification markings.

Police have filed an animal cruelty report, but no suspects have been identified.

This incident follows another recent discovery of dead puppies in a bag in a forest near Kristianstad.
