A young girl under the age of 15 has been subjected to a suspected gang rape in the Nydala residential area in Malmö, according to several reports.

The incident allegedly occurred outdoors during the night leading into Sunday.

Police are currently searching for three suspects, one of whom is believed to have recorded the incident.

The area around a multi-family housing complex in Nydala was cordoned off as police conducted investigations with the assistance of a specialized search dog.

Police spokesperson Nils Norling confirmed that a technical examination has been carried out at the scene, and the case is being investigated as rape against a child.

However, Norling refrained from confirming reports of the assault being a gang rape.

This serious incident has triggered a significant police response in the community, as efforts to apprehend the suspects continue.
