Two young women have been arrested on suspicion of a gang rape in Rissne, northwest Stockholm.

The prosecutor confirmed the arrests to Aftonbladet.

The suspects include a 25-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman, both detained on probable cause for aggravated rape.

Five men were also suspected but released, although they remain under investigation.

The incident occurred on Sunday and all seven individuals are suspected of involvement in the crime.
