A series of alarming incidents involving bread rolls laced with sharp objects like glass shards and porcelain pieces have stirred fear among dog owners in Malmö.
Despite the arrest of a woman in her 70s, suspected of being behind these malicious acts, the investigation has been discontinued due to lack of evidence.
Police had initially linked her to the distribution of these dangerous 'dog rolls' after witness reports and a subsequent arrest in December.
However, the prosecution has now dropped all charges, stating there was insufficient proof that the items found were intended to be eaten by dogs or directly connected to the suspect.
This decision comes amidst ongoing discoveries of similar hazardous bread rolls in the area, leaving the community and authorities concerned over the safety of pets.
