An elderly woman in Malmö was arrested on suspicion of placing lumps of dough embedded with glass shards in public places with the intention of harming animals, primarily dogs.

This incident follows a series of similar events that have been recorded in the city since 2020. The police are now investigating the woman's possible connection to these prior incidents.

The woman, who denies the charges, is presently under custody and an investigation is underway.

The police are also warning the public about the potential presence of more harmful dough lumps in the area.
