Residents and visitors in Bydalen, Sweden, are still advised not to drink the local tap water despite recent tests showing reduced levels of heavy metals.
Seasonal worker Julia Sundell, who has been relying on a water tank for drinking water, described the situation as unusual, especially for tourists visiting during the holiday season.
Anna Linde, head of water and sanitation in Åre, stated that it will take a long time before the water is safe to drink again.
The ongoing water ban has raised concerns and questions among locals and visitors alike.
