This weekend, 90 swimming spots across Sweden have been reported to have unsafe water, according to the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management.
Popular locations affected include beaches at Böda camping and several sites in Skåne, Stockholm, and the West Coast.
The agency advises against swimming in these areas and encourages beachgoers to check the water quality before entering.
Special caution is urged for small children, while adults are advised to keep their mouths closed when in the water.
This unusual number of contaminated sites has raised concerns among health officials, highlighting the importance of water safety during the summer months.
