Two young men died and three others were injured when a car veered off the road and crashed into a tree on the Onsalahalvön peninsula near Kungsbacka on Saturday evening.

The injured, all men in their mid-20s, are being treated at the hospital with one in serious condition.

Police spokesperson August Brandt stated that the accident is under investigation for gross negligence in traffic.

A support group has been set up in Vallda church for the community.

"It is incredibly tragic," said Lisa Andersson, chair of the Kungsbacka municipal council.
