In a display of royal flair, King Carl XVI Gustaf arrived at the Royal Palace in Stockholm to meet with the government in his luxurious BMW M8 Competition, a vehicle valued at over 1.7 million kronor ($170,000).
The 77-year-old monarch, known for his love of automobiles, showcased his latest acquisition, which he bought as a 74th birthday present to himself in 2020. The car, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 305 km/h, is part of the king's extensive collection, estimated to be worth around 30 million kronor ($3 million).
This collection includes notable pieces like a 1973 Porsche 911 T Targa and a 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB.
The king, alongside Crown Princess Victoria, was at the palace to participate in an information council, a routine meeting where political initiatives and ongoing legislation are discussed.
