The Swedish royal family is set to receive an increased budget allocation in 2025, with the amount rising to 190 million kronor.

This decision comes after the royal household expressed concerns over insufficient funds to meet the growing demand for their presence at various events and to enhance security measures.

The Tidö parties have also proposed an additional six million kronor for the current year to address immediate financial needs.

The royal household has been in discussions with the Ministry of Finance to secure sustainable funding, highlighting the vulnerability of their current financial model, especially during the pandemic years.

The increased budget will primarily focus on improving personal protection and security around royal residences.
