The Swedish government has authorized the Swedish Armed Forces to contribute to NATO's air surveillance over the Baltic region.
This mission, known as NATO air policing, will see Swedish fighter jets from F17 wing in Ronneby operating under NATO command to help protect NATO airspace.
The operation aims to deter air threats and maintain the integrity of NATO airspace.
Swedish jets will be based in Sweden but will primarily patrol the Baltic States.
The decision comes three months after Sweden joined the defense alliance.
