A 41-year-old man has been detained in Sweden on suspicion of terrorism-related activities in another European country.
The arrest was carried out by the Swedish Security Service (Säpo) following a request from a foreign authority.
The man, who denies the charges, was apprehended in the Stockholm area last Friday and subsequently remanded in custody by the Attunda District Court on Monday.
Prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist confirmed that the arrest is based on a European arrest warrant, but details remain confidential due to the sensitive nature of the case.
The suspect, who speaks Russian and was previously wanted by Russia, is now facing potential extradition.
His defense attorney, Torben Setterlund, stated that the decision on extradition lies with the prosecutor.
The specific European country involved in the request has not been disclosed.
