Members of several Sámi villages in Strömsund Municipality are reacting strongly to the municipality's stance on hunting and fishing rights.
The local government believes that these responsibilities should not be transferred to the Sámi communities on state lands in the mountains.
Lena Kroik from the Voernese Sámi village expressed frustration, noting the issue went out of control.
Members were also upset that the municipality called a consultation meeting after their response had already been sent to the Reindeer Grazing Committee.
