A Russian-linked hacker group named Akira has threatened to release nearly 200 gigabytes of stolen data from Bjuv, a Swedish municipality.
This data reportedly includes "secret documents, contracts, agreements, and personnel files.
" Bjuv's IT chief, Thomas Nilsson, confirmed the breach but clarified it was unrelated to the recent cyberattack on IT company Tietoevry.
The attack on Bjuv occurred simultaneously with the Tietoevry incident, causing widespread concern.
In response, Bjuv has escalated its security measures to prevent the leakage of sensitive information.
