Russia announced on Tuesday that some of its troops are leaving positions near the Ukrainian border, amid fears of a possible invasion.
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated that military exercises in Crimea and other areas near Ukraine have been successfully completed.
However, NATO and the United States remain skeptical of these claims.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Russia maintains a 'significant military presence' on the Ukrainian border.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby echoed this sentiment, stating that the US has not observed 'any real signs of withdrawal' so far.
The situation continues to be closely monitored by Western allies.
