A dramatic rescue unfolded on Saturday near a lake outside Avesta, Sweden, after a person went missing while ice fishing.

SOS Alarm received a call around 4 PM reporting that someone had ventured onto the ice and failed to return.

Police, rescue services, and the Sea Rescue Society launched an extensive search operation, deploying a hovercraft to aid in the effort.

By 8 PM, the missing individual was located and handed over to ambulance personnel.

The condition of the rescued person remains undisclosed.
