Emergency services, including an ambulance helicopter, responded to a potential drowning incident in Storforsen, Älvsbyn, on Saturday evening.

Personal belongings such as slippers and a water bottle were seen floating in the water, prompting a major search.

Despite extensive efforts using both land and aerial searches, no one was found, and the operation concluded later that night.

The helicopter has since returned.

The cause of the alarm remains uncertain.
