A nine-year-old girl named Lisa, who was facing deportation to Albania, has been granted temporary residency in Sweden.
Born in Sweden and living most of her life in a foster home in Järpås, Lisa's deportation process had sparked protests and petitions.
The Migration Agency decided to halt her deportation amidst overwhelming public support.
Her foster guardian, Paulina Backström, expressed immense relief and joy over the decision.
Lisa's temporary permit will last until the next summer, when she can reapply.
