Sweden is ramping up its security measures in the Baltic Sea following recent incidents involving suspected sabotage of underwater cables.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has expressed Sweden's readiness to assist NATO, emphasizing the importance of strengthening security in the Nordic and Baltic regions.
The Swedish Coast Guard is also increasing its maritime surveillance to address these threats.
Meanwhile, Social Democrat Peter Hultqvist has called for invoking NATO's Article 4, which allows member states to consult when their security is at risk.
This comes as NATO bolsters its military presence in the Baltic Sea, highlighting the growing concerns over regional stability.
