A man in his 30s is in critical condition following a fire in a multi-family building in Finspång.

The fire broke out in an apartment on the third floor early Monday morning.

Emergency services were alerted around 2:30 AM and quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.

Firefighters discovered the man inside the apartment, and he was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He is currently receiving intensive care.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
