At Skänninge prison, an inmate named Moussa experienced a seizure, but instead of receiving medical assistance, he claims he was subjected to physical abuse by prison staff.
This incident, which Moussa has reported to the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsmen (JO), is allegedly witnessed by a prison officer named Nadja.
Furthermore, an investigation by Kaliber reveals that over 30 past and present employees of Skänninge prison corroborate a pattern of excessive force, provocations, and harassment within the institution.
Despite reports to management, the prison chief, Emil Ahlquist, acknowledges only partial awareness of these issues but commits to addressing them, distancing himself from the practices described.
