A physician has been caught offering an illegal beauty treatment using a substance called 'Lemon Bottle,' which the Swedish Medical Products Agency has strongly warned against.

The treatment, popular on social media, claims to reduce fat by injecting the substance into the body, but it carries significant risks, including severe infections and allergic reactions.

Despite being illegal and unsafe, the treatment is being offered at beauty salons in Skåne, often by unqualified personnel.

The affected physician works for Region Skåne and is currently under investigation.

Many failed treatments place an additional burden on the healthcare system, prompting calls for stricter regulations and oversight of the beauty industry.
