Traffic on the E20 between Hallsberg and Laxå was halted after a horse transport experienced issues between Vrestorp and Stavånakorset.

The horse had kicked and damaged the transport, posing a risk of escaping onto the road.

Police, fire services, and a veterinarian were on the scene.

Sadly, the horse had to be euthanized, and traffic began to resume around noon.
