Police in Gothenburg have detained 17 individuals in a large operation on Tuesday, suspecting them of crimes related to drug trafficking and weapons.

Earlier this year, a major fire broke out at the Oceana water park in Liseberg, resulting in the park's complete destruction and one casualty.

The fire, which occurred before the park's opening, has now been attributed to welding work on a waterslide, according to a report to the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

The police report mentioned that the fire spread rapidly, leading to an explosion that caused significant destruction.

Investigations continue as authorities await further reports from insurance agencies to finalize the cause.
