A tragic workplace accident in central Älmhult claimed the life of a man late Tuesday night, after he became trapped between a locomotive and a wagon at the railway area.
The incident, which required a two-hour rescue operation, is currently under investigation as a workplace accident.
This event adds to a concerning trend, as the past year saw the highest number of workplace fatalities in twelve years, with 62 deaths reported.
In light of recent events, the Minister of Labor, Johan Pehrson, emphasized the urgent need for concrete measures to counteract this negative trend and prevent future accidents.
