A man in his 40s has died following a drowning accident near Läckö Castle outside Lidköping.

The incident, described as a tragic accident, involved another victim, a child, who has been hospitalized.

The Swedish Maritime and Air Rescue Center dispatched all available resources, including a helicopter, after receiving the emergency call at 3:12 PM on Monday.

Police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr confirmed that no crime is suspected and that the family has been informed.
