A tragic diving accident occurred at Paradishamnen, Kullaberg, outside Höganäs, resulting in the death of a woman in her 50s.
The incident happened around 10 a.
m.
on Sunday, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
Despite being airlifted to Lund University Hospital, the woman's life could not be saved.
Initial reports suggested she was taken to a hyperbaric chamber, but Region Skåne clarified that this was not the case as the accident did not involve pressure-related injuries.
Two other divers assisted in bringing her to shore, and one was treated for a crisis reaction at Helsingborg Hospital.
Police have seized the diving equipment for further investigation, and a death inquiry is underway.
The woman's family has been notified of the tragic event.
