A deadly fire engulfed a villa in a residential area of Sorsele, resulting in one fatality.

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, but police have notified the relatives of the individual believed to have been at the location.

The fire was reported at 05:45 on Wednesday morning, with seven firefighting units responding to the scene.

The villa was completely destroyed.

Authorities have sealed off the area and initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire, currently being treated as arson, although no suspects have been identified yet.
